Concessions:

Children and young people aged between 6 and 16 years travel free of charge on all days of operation if accompanied by at least one fare-paying adult.

Free transportation ist conceded in scheduled 2nd class trains only (max. four children per family).

Children not accompanied by an adult passenger pay half the adult fare.

Junior Card
Grandchild Card

With the Junior or Grandchild Card, children and young people aged between 6 and 16 years also travel free of charge on the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway and on post buses.
To get Junior or Grandchild Cards please contact the SBB stations or Swiss Travel System.

Furka Round Trips

Finally covering the whole distance from Realp to Oberwald by steam train now and in collaboration with our partners Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn and PostAuto we are delighted to offer a new set of Furka Round Trips. One way - in self chosen direction - is covered by DFB steamtrain, the return trip will be by PostAuto on Furka pass road and/or by MGB train through the Furka base tunnel. Respective tickets will be issued for 2nd class only.

i Round trip tickets can be issued for 2nd class only, with a period of validity of 2 days.
They are available on the buses of PostAuto, as well as at the ticket counters of MGB und DFB AG.

i Children, who will enjoy a free ride on the steam train, won't need a round trip ticket. The return trip with PostAuto or MBG can be paid for directly at their ticket issuing locations as noted above.

A For the MINI Round Trip, it is recommend to rather opt for the Oberwald-Gletsch-only trains, because on pass crossing trains priority reservation will be granted to passengers travelling the whole distance.

Free tickets

One extra free ticket ist granted for every group of 20 passengers.

20-39 Pax.		one free ticket				60-79 Pax.		three free tickets
40-59 Pax.		two free tickets				(etc.).


Discrepencies	Tickets are supplied immediately after booking, with an invoice (due within 30 days). Unused tickets will be reimbursed free of charge by our financial services, if they are returned before the start of the trip at the station in Realp or Gletsch.

Seat reservation	is compulsary ! Preferrably you may use our Online Reservation System

Extra trains for groups	DFB Travel Service will be pleased to provide details on all-inclusive prices for extra trains.

Means of payment

Besides most major credit cards we also accept EURO cash money.
Rate of exchange (approximately): One Swiss franc (CHF 1.–) equals to EUR 0.62. Fares paid in foreign currencies are charged on the basis of the current rate of exchange.
All prices include 8% VAT
